Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) chief, İbrahim Kalın, is set to attend Gaza cease-fire negotiations on Wednesday, October 8, in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, according to security sources.

Before the talks, Kalın held bilateral meetings with officials from the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Hamas to address key issues surrounding the conflict. The discussions aim to secure a lasting cease-fire, arrange the exchange of hostages and prisoners, and ensure uninterrupted humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza.

The talks follow recent meetings in Doha, where indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas began with Türkiye’s involvement, marking another significant step in international efforts to stabilize the region and prevent further escalation.
