Türkiye has strongly denounced Israel’s strike on a Hamas negotiating team in Doha, describing it as a violation of international law, an attack on Qatar’s sovereignty, and evidence of Israel’s intent to prolong war rather than pursue peace.
Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said the strike undermines efforts for regional stability and represents a blatant breach of human conscience. He stressed that Israel’s actions prove it seeks to continue committing atrocities instead of working toward peace, urging the international community to take a united stand against such aggression.
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz also condemned the assault, calling it a clear violation of Qatar’s territorial integrity and a blow to diplomatic mediation. He urged responsible nations and international institutions to take effective action to counter Israel’s reckless behavior, which he said threatens regional peace.
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş described the strike as a “vile attack” and an “open violation” of international law, accusing Israel’s leadership of operating with brutality and disregard for humanity. Türkiye reiterated its solidarity with both Qatar and Palestine, affirming its support for peaceful solutions and mediation in regional conflicts.
