Türkiye’s National Security Council, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has called for an end to the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, urging the parties to return to the negotiating table. The council emphasized that continued hostilities threaten to exacerbate regional instability, with potential global repercussions.
In a meeting that reviewed various regional developments, the council stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts to ease tensions and prevent further escalation. The discussions also covered the situations in Syria, Iraq, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Türkiye reiterated its support for Syria’s territorial integrity and advocated for enhanced stability in Iraq.
Addressing issues in Gaza and Lebanon, the council called for international intervention to curb ongoing violence and bolster regional stability. Additionally, it advocated for restraint and a cease-fire in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, expressing concerns over attacks that target civilian infrastructure.
Regarding Yemen, the council highlighted rising tensions as a growing security threat across the region, underscoring the necessity of restoring peace and calm. The meeting’s outcomes reflect Türkiye’s broader diplomatic approach to mitigating conflicts and fostering regional harmony.
