Türkiye and Saudi Arabia have committed to enhancing their partnership in the realm of justice, following a recent meeting in Ankara between Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek and Saudi Justice Minister Walid bin Muhammad Al Samaani. The discussions centered on broadening collaboration in areas such as judicial reforms, legal expertise, and digital justice initiatives, reflecting a mutual effort to strengthen their legal systems.
The meeting underscored the significance of aligning their efforts with Türkiye’s “Century of Türkiye Vision” and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Both ministers highlighted the necessity of robust legal frameworks and expressed a shared vision of advancing judicial cooperation to support these national goals.
Türkiye showcased its advancements in judicial digitalization through its National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP), offering its know-how particularly in AI-supported legal services and cybersecurity. The dialogue included discussions on alternative dispute resolution and enhancing judicial cooperation, areas where Türkiye is keen to share its expertise.
In a move to bolster their judicial ties, the ministers agreed on the importance of increasing official exchanges and fostering direct cooperation between legal professionals from both nations.
