Türkiye’s Ambassador to Qatar, Dr. Mustafa Göksu, praised the final declaration of the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha on September 15, stressing that Ankara and Doha are committed to turning its outcomes into concrete actions.
Göksu said the summit’s decisions reflect a unified regional stance against Israeli aggression and a shared priority to defend sovereignty, stability, and the security of peoples in the Middle East. He highlighted Türkiye’s full solidarity with Qatar, noting that the extraordinary summit was organised in just six days, demonstrating strong regional coordination.
The envoy underlined President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s call to transform the summit’s resolutions into a global declaration, warning that unchecked Israeli aggression poses a direct threat to the region. He said Israel’s attacks, including those targeting Qatar’s mediation efforts in Gaza, amount to crimes against humanity that must be addressed under international law.
Göksu also emphasised the importance of strengthening defence cooperation among Islamic nations, building self-sufficiency in strategic sectors, and holding Israeli officials accountable. He commended the leadership of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for firmly rejecting attempts to impose new realities in the Middle East and reaffirmed the depth of Türkiye-Qatar relations, calling them a cornerstone of regional partnership.
