Türkiye has expressed strong disapproval of recent Israeli airstrikes in southern Syria, labeling them a breach of Syria’s sovereignty and a threat to the region’s stability. The Turkish Foreign Ministry criticized the attacks on areas in Quneitra and Daraa, arguing that they violate Syria’s territorial integrity, international law, and the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement.
Ankara warned that such military actions could exacerbate the already dire humanitarian situation, endanger civilian lives, and hinder ongoing efforts to bring stability to Syria. Turkish officials have urged the international community to intervene, stressing the importance of preventing further incidents that might escalate tensions in the region.
Burhanettin Duran, Türkiye’s Communications Director, joined the condemnation, highlighting that these strikes compromise Syria’s security and undermine initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace.
